Soapmaking workshop in English Parent / Child

Spend some quality time with your child creating something useful! 

Have you always wanted to make your own soap, but didn't know where to start? Did handling lye in your kitchen seem too dangerous? Or did the ingredient list put you off from making your first batch? Come and join one of our soap-making workshops. You'll learn the basics of cold process soap-making, why cold process soaps are particularly good for your skin and how to formulate a soap. We will make organic soap from olive, coconut and castor oils. Each participant will choose a fragrance and supplements from our wide array of ingredients to create their own unique soap.

This workshop is intended for children accompanied by a parent. You can choose to make one 600g bar of soap together or two 300g bars separately. Children aged 8 and above may participate but must be supervised by a parent. Children aged 12 and above may work independently.

The participation fee applies to one adult with one child. For each additional child, please select ‘additional child’.

• Each participant will create their own soap, choosing from our large array of essential oils, perfumes, clays, plant powders, dried flowers, salts, etc.
• You will either pour the soap into a mould that you can take home with you or use our silicone soap molds and pick up your soap 4 weeks after the workshop when the cure is finished. We can also ship the soap to you at your charge.
